We had a great stay at the cottage, well equipped, cosy, excellent location and facilities. We would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
Beautiful house so gorgeous throughout, well equipped and stylish. Was slightly nervous the tv would be too small that was in the photos but when we got there it has been replaced for a bigger one 😊. The weather was too bad to enjoy the garden but could it was lovely and a place set up in all different areas to get the sunshine at anytime during the day. Would definitely recommend.
A cosy house and a great stay. Easy bus into St Ives right outside the front door and a huge beach within walking distance which the dogs loved. Brilliant house!
Absolutely loved our stay at Ivy Mount. Such a beautiful, specious house. Great amenities, everything we needed and more. It was easy to find and we were welcomed by a Cornish cream tea with home made scones and fresh coffee. Bliss! Really clean and comfortable. Loved the location, so close to the estuary and gorgeous for walking our fur babies. We had a lovely meal at the pub just few mins walk away. I really recommend this place to everyone. Just wonderful.
We had a fabulous stay. Everything we needed was available. Cosy and comfortable winter stay. We look forward to returning for a Spring/Summer break when we can enjoy the lovely garden.
Ivy Mount is ideally located for those who want to explore western Cornwall. The train into St Ives is only a 7 minute journey along a beautiful coastline and is an absolute bargain. An amazing beach is only a 10 minute walk away (but do remember to check tide times) and the South West Coast Path can be picked up directly from the property for those who like longer walks.The property itself has been rennovated to an exceptionally high standard and is very tastefully decorated throughout. The log fires in the dining room and living room were perfect (we visited in November). The bedrooms are very spacious. The property was well equipped and the owners were very responsive to any questions raised during our stay.Some lovely touches on our arrival (home baked scones, jam and clotted cream and some beautiful red roses).I would not hesitate recommending Ivy Mount to anyone and I am hoping to dtay again in the future.
Very much enjoyed our stay, very comfortable, well equipped & clean. Local amenities great particularly Badger inn opposite and great bus service to St Ives, cheaper than parking.

We had a really lovely stay at Ivy Mount. Comfortable beds, lovely garden (especially the terrace), nicely furnished and equipped. The location was perfect - we loved the walk down to the beach and to Carbis Bay and beyond. Porthkidney was great for swimming and beach games, plus lots of dogs! For surfing we drove to Gwithian. For shopping, Asda & Lidl in Hayle were easy, also Tesco in Carbis Bay. The bus to St Ives was convenient and frequent. We'd have preferred to get the train but were thwarted by strikes! The perfect weather was a big bonus. We had a wonderful time and would love to return.
The house was Spotless which made for nice arrival and stay. Evertthing was provided in the house and really good instructions for access and other items. Location was great, short distance from lovely beaches, St Ives and others. The house was actually more spacious than the pictures showed, nice multi level and secure garden, great if you have a dog.
We had a fantastic stay at ivy mount the house was beautiful we found the different levels of the garden lovely, the bedrooms were a lot bigger than the photos showed, The bus stop is right outside and we went to st Ives which was stunning shopping was great we also went to seal island which was great. We got the bus to lands end, The beach near the golf course was so lovely quite a few steps we had a disabled child but we managed it just, the pub across the road was lovely. Well worth a visit we would love to return.
Lovely cottage in a lovely location, we had a really fab holiday. Ivy Mount is so handy for St Ives, Carbis bay and Hayle can’t fault it and the very dog friend pub is just a stone’s throw away.
Lovely place to stay, quick train journey to St Ives. Huge garden and such a lovely property for an amazing price. Will definitely be back!
Give this property more than 5 stars if possible. As described, nice welcome package, house was spotless, plenty of room for six adults, well equipped, lovely secure garden for dog.
Just returned from holidaying in this beautiful property. The house was exactly as described, with everything you could possibly need. The garden is totally enclosed and secure, perfect if you have a dog. Would highly recommend.
Lovely cottage
Ivy Mount was the perfect place to stay, light and airy rooms, everything thought of and with total seclusion in the garden. The local beach is beautiful, miles of sand and just a short walk away - most importantly for us it is dog friendly! The local bus and train links into St Ives made life really easy. Amazing food at the bistro which is walking distance down the hill. The sun shone, for the most part, and we came home totally refreshed! Highly recommended.
